Quantum Computing in STEM Education

One of the member countries of Science on Stage, Science on Stage Germany, works with secondary school teachers from all over Europe in an international project to develop teaching materials on "Quantum Computing in STEM Education".

In the project, 20 teachers from Europe have been selected to work together to develop teaching materials and methods to get pupils interested in quantum mechanics in general and the use of quantum computers in particular. Among other things, the students will be able to learn simple quantum algorithms and run them on quantum computers. The teaching materials should be designed in such a way that they can be used by teachers of IT, physics and maths without a great deal of prior knowledge in this area.

Science on Stage Switzerland is really happy that Wolfgang Geist (Kantonschule Romanshorn) and Christian Datzko (Wirtschaftsgymnasium und Wirtschaftsmittelschule Basel) from Switzerland have been selected to be part of this project.
